hi everyone,
just having a moan this morning. In the last 2 months I have had 2 throat infections, conjunctivitis, thrush and now im quite seriosly ill with gastroenteritis. An ambulance had to be phoned for me last night :-(
do any of you lot get this ill so many times in such a short space of time? Im on 25mg of injected mtx so i know that wont help with cathcing things, but starting to feel quite down about it all.
sorry for rambling, hope you are all okay today

Oh you are going thro the mill, aren't you? I hope things pick up for you soon, lacking an immune system does leave one open to all sorts of bugs and infections: somehow I contrive to remain 'well' but there are quite a few on here who do seem to be prone to catching anything that's going. Keep warm, keep hydrated, rest as much as you can and I hope you soon start to feel better. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hope you feel better tomorrow Pennycrayon... I went through a spell like that a couple of months ago when I went onto 20 mgs of methotrex, so I went down to 15 mgs agian and I seem to have stabilised again now ..
Keep washing your hands - many times a day - there are some very 'unclean' people about - especially in supermarkets - I wouldn't like to know what germs are on the handles of supermarket trolleys!
Take care

Hello Pennycrayon
I was so sorry to read your post and I really hope that you are now starting to get over your gastroenteritis.
I do understand why you feel so down about constantly catching things. It's difficutl enough with the arthritis isn't it, without anything else on top.
Thinking of you.

I cannot recall your history pennycrayon, neither can I remember your form of arthritis (sorry) but I do know that some of the drugs that some of us take can affect all sorts of things. I hope that you can soon find an answer to the food difficulty/problem/question (delete as appropriate). I am glad that you are feeling better - long may that last. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
