40th x-ray - wonder when you start glowing?

Had my orthopaedic appointment today for the knee I damaged in a fall back in May (I smashed my knee against IKEAs finest concrete floor)
Yet more X-rays....was counting through and realised the only bits of me that haven't been x-rayed are my elbows and my ribs x:shock:
Despite the usual ridiculously long wait , the appointment was alright but no solution to my knee pain yet
They think that I've damaged the ligaments and cartilage in my knee and possibly the surface of the knee cap wooo hooo lucky me
I had to watch a moderately funny argument between the consultant and registrar about how to proceed Unfortunately as they want to go softly softly due to the RA i'm going have to wait for an MRI before they do the arthroscopy to fix it...but yay a sore bit they can actually fix so I'm taking that as good news
)
now if they can just get on with the rest of me

Hi Chrissie
Glad to hear you are getting your 'money's worth' out of the NHS! Lets hope they can fix your knee up..
I have decided to go on Humira shortly (I know you were thinking about anti-tnfs too). I am a little worried, but have make my mind up to give it a go as the methotrex is not controlling my RA now..

thanks marion
good luck with the Humira, I hope it works for you
I know what you mean about being a bit worried but I'm sure it'll be ok...now all i've got to do is convince myself about it too :roll: i think thats partially why i'm finally getting my knee sorted as its a procrastination for giving an answer about the TNF as i can't go on it till after an invasive procedure
Let me know how you get on
