OH you lot are the best really you are
thank you all so much, for the messages and for the pocket-dwelling. It really does help .... and boy did I need you all a few times today. I hope the smelly food brigade didn't mind the window sill, but you had more air than we did anyway I did get you all safely back into pockets before I left, though I didn't count you all out and count you all back, which maybe is a good job with all these powered skate-boards around
please forgive me if I single out Cris, because she has done sterling work as PA today despite health, employer, dongle and weather issues. Cris my love, it is really appreciated and I couldn't honestly have done it without you, but next time I'll be better prepared - honest!
Well left home at 7.30 ... got train and bus ok .... arrived at hospital at 8.45 ......... finally hooked up to infusion at 10.30  (they had to weigh me then work out the dose then go and get a signature from the doctor before we could start!) and would have been out at 2.30 but had a few issues which needed a few more obs then was ok to leave about 3. Got home about 5 and crashed out for 3 hours.
Can't say I was thrilled with the ward cos they have sooo much heat there ...... made me laugh when she said if you start to feel hot or itchy please tell us straight away .... I had to be honest and say well I'm like that already and we haven't started (I still have my rash at the mo) so however will I know
there was something good tonight though ..... discovered hubby can cook  so guess who will be cooking more often now
poor man is fast asleep now he's been so busy - what a day off for him! He'll be here in the morning then has to go to work at lunchtime, so I'll be looked after again and no dog walking which is a blessing
thank you all so much for the support - means heaps to me.
love and hugs ((((((((()))))))))))

HI Chris, DD, Val, Cris, TOni, Julie, Del & anyone else I might have missed
Sorry didn't get on much yesterday or today.
Yesterday it was mainly because I was sleeping  but today it has been because I have been busy  and working hard trying not to overdo things, since I've been feeling really quite good!
I know it is too early to tell whether this is a 'good' day after several days of rest, or the result of the drip ....... but tonight I was able to walk up the stairs without needing to use the banister rails to haul myself up, and in the words of my beloved  'did I just see you walking up like normal rather than grunting and groaning after the effort of each step you take? ' .... nothing like telling it how it is eh?
so ... I'm trying to be very good and take things steady, but it's not easy at this time of year is it?
thanks for all your messages, and I really do appreciate every one of them.
hugs to you all and i hope that everyone manages to have some good days even in this horrid weather.
WOnky
PS - CHris - hope you do get away ok. fingers crossed for you!0 -

Hello Wonky
I was so very pleased to read that your infusion went well and that you have been seeing some signs of improvement already!
I do so hope it works for you - it was a "life-changing" drug for me for 5 years and I hope the same goes for you.
Based on my experience of Infliximab just wanted to say please don't despair if you feel the improvement is temporary. I hobbled into my first infusion appt and came out walking almost normally but was most distressed when it didn't last. But after the first few infusions I saw a sustained improvement, which lasted for the whole 5 years I had the drug. I miss it hugely now but wouldn't have passed up on the opportunity to have it.
I know it doesn't work for everyone but hope you are one of the lucky ones like I was.
Love TIlly xxx0 -
hope everything works out okay, wonky, take care x0

Thanks everyone
today I have gone and overdone it
I was trying to keep warm and so kept on doing stuff, and now it is coming back to bit me
So, tomorrow I will have to keep warm and yet balance things better.
FIngers crossed I get the balance better and that the heating gets sorted
thanks again
