x:rudolf What a fabulous thread Tony, reading back over has brought me so many memories back, there are some damn fine tunes. Not had time to listen yet but will prob get my girl to put some of them on a cd to play in the car. I was a bit of a child of the 70's and 80's and Rod Stewart and T Rex were my faves. I love Piano man by Billy Joel and like you I can take or leave the Beatles but love Hey Jude, Lady Madonna and Macarthur Park. What fabulous nostalgia, music evokes such strong feelings, reminders of good times and the not so good. My all time fave and the song I dedicated to my hubby at our silver anniversary party is Rod Stewarts verson of "Have I told you lately", says it all really.
