We invited our neighbour around for lunch last week before he went home to UK Normally one brings a bottle of wine or some flowers Her brought a 1 Kilo tin of Licorice Allsorts Anyone beat that for an unsual pre meal gift??? :o:o:o:o

    Oh Tone have you any left....I love um...we had a friend bring a pair of curtains once...he work for the company...much better than a bottle of wine.. x:lol: x:lol:

    I hope you like those sweets - a kilo of the things? a032.gif I think they are horrible! I was given a bag of ferrules, which were handy, but they were also accompanied by a bottle of something lovely - and I don't mean milk. DD

    Not a pre-meal gift but when I had a spell in hossy one of my brothers brought me a bag of fresh garden peas still in their shells picked from his allotment only hours before - a wonderful delicious gift :grin:
