Today.......I will be mostly pretending its Christmas day.......

I decided to start 1 week early.......

Tomorrow I start Chemo.

So I reckon next Saturday may not be exactly a 'fun' day..

Having Roast Pheasant and all the trimmings, Christmas pudding...

May even have a Christmas 'tipple'........

Whooopie........merry Christmas everyone....

May I pop round and pull a cracker or two? I hope you are not going to be in solitary splendour, Rob, I hope some family will be there too (but only if that's what you want). My favourite Christmas tipple is a port and brandy - wot you got in your sideboard? DD

    Some warm shooting socks......

I haven't really though about it much.....

Thats a bit too much like a Chelsea Tractor for me Joan......

Put some decent wheels and tyres on it........

So it can do a foot of mud and sh............shale........

    And it will do fine....

'The Underkeeper' (Thats grandson Lewis, for the confused)

Said it was the his 'best Christmas ever'...........(Stupid child.....tears came big time)..

    Today.........truthfully in a daze......No I didn't have that much port...

Got lots to do.......And feel like so little time to do it.......

Anyway.......Got to go feed pheasants......and thaw out all feeders and drinkers here......

Thinking of you both. It's a fight you face on your own, but you are not alone. Remember that, we're with you every step of the way.

    Thanks Lupin.........

    Pheasants are fine........

Damn Fallow deer seem to think food is for them.......

Still when the weather is like this, every creature is welcome to a bit of 'grub'....

In one wood was about 500 various small birds.........all merrily feeding away.....

Was a carpet of life.........truly a wonderous sight.....

I spend many hours just watching.......

    Always something happening.....

So many people look and see nothing........

    Hell, I'm waffling.......

Love watching the birds this time of year. Not so sure that they are bloody happy about the weather. We have had 5 robins in our garden at once..it was nearly a blood bath...our regularly robin was sat on the washing line protecting his area and stopping the other robins getting any where near the food containers. It was a real cat and mouse situation and so funny to watch. Only sad thing is our cat has had one bird...but he did eat it all. Not very quick and normally only catches mice so there must have been something wrong with it. Came into the house to find feathers all over the place. How can such a small bird make such a mess...

We've had nothing in our garden, not a sight of any creature at all - no tracks either. It's frozen solid out there and soooo miserable. I don't blame 'em for hiding up somewhere. DD
