    The main problem today is that most of our railways are electric. You cant use a snow plough on electric rails because of the third rail.

    You only have third rail in the London, Liverpool and South Coast area. The rest of the country's electric railway is overhead feed. You should get out of town a bit more as there is a whole, wonderful (snowy) country out here. x:lol:

    I started watching this Del...

    and l thought....yawn....(not being that interested in trains x:oops: )

    but you know they were pretty amazing those blokes doing that - these days you're lucky if anyone even clears their bit of path.
