I am pretty sure it is Elna's birthday today and I think it is her 60th. I have been on facebook but her page is quiet and no birthday wishes but then Elna wouldn't want it plastered all over facebook anway for security reasons.

So Elna HAPPY BIRTHDAY and hope you are out having a great time with your lovely family.

    Aw, thank you everyone! I did try to keep it quiet but a few knew obviously!!! :lol: Yes, it has been a little mad the past few days. It has been a lovely time. Had to assist by holding the ladder, the morning of my birthday whilst hubby clambered up to the little flat roof we have at the front of the house. The night before we heard a "drip, drip". Oh joy, Yep, part of the ceiling could well have fallen down. Hubby cleared away the ice, snow and moss and had to use a blow torch on the ice to melt it. It took ages. So we think it will be ok now. This has never happend before in all the years we have lived there. Whilst he was doing that, I thought I may as well do something useful so got the shovel and cleared away the snow to make a pathway. Little Lola and mummy came over in the afternoon with pressies and a lovely Belgian chocolate birthday cake. Lola helped me open all my cards and other gifts. In the evening we walked/sloshed/slid our way to a pub/restaurant about a mile away. My choice to walk to the restaurant and my choice of venue too, as I love the food they serve. Loads of phone calls too so time has passed very quickly. Soon it will be christmas, so more celebrating and I am invited to a ballet in early February and meeting up with a good friend in January, as that had to be cancelled because of the weather, so I have events to look forward to in the new year too. I am a very lucky girl and grateful to have such a good family and friends and all of you on the forum too. I must make a new years resolution to try to be on here more than I have been of late.
