Hiya,

I'm new to the forum, joined up after reading about it.

I have arthritis in my Knees, elbows and right shoulder. I have HMS in my Knees & Elbows, I also have it in my wrists but they have been spared from having arthritis.

I have it in my right shoulder due to fracturing it in 1994 when I was 9 years old.

I would like to learn more about arthritis as I haven't suffered this bad before only in recent months has it goten worse.

I suppose I should formally introduce myself my name is Pamela-Anne, but I get called Pamie. I am 25 years old and currently living in Fife. I am studying to get into Journalism, I am hopefully going to be studying at Aberdeen College in August 2011. Then go onto University in Aberdeen. I am keen on sports, but because of the pain I suffer I'm limited. I love football, tennis, rowing and netball. I hope that when my pain is manageable I can return to rowing.

    Hi Pamie, welcome from me too and a Happy Christmas to ya..
    Hope you're having a lovely day up there and the weather isn't too bad.. We have friends up there and we visited them earlier in the year.. Some lovely places to see.

    Hope you're not suffering too much today..

    Hey, and thanks, and Merry Christmas to you too.

    Not too bad today, sort of doped up on pain killers though :\.

    It's pretty cold here tonight, my laptop says its 1C outside.

    Best place to post general arthritis things is on the Living with Arthritis (LWA) forum and, for light relief, the Chit-Chat forum is good.

    Glad you are not too bad today but sorry you are doped up on painkillers.

    What is HMS?

    HMS is Hypermobility Syndrome. It's not very well known unfortunately :(.

    I know what you mean about being doped up on painkillers, lol..
    Spend most of my days that way.. :shock: :)) :lol:
    It's minus 3 outside at the minute, so you've got the summer weather, lol..

    I've got even more "Summer" temps, its now 2C. I have a flaming cold coming, thanks to getting my feet wet on Monday.

    2 degrees? I am jealous, haha.. Boy, it's been cold here in Leeds today.. minus four round here this afternoon.. Sorry about the cold hun.. Hope it passes soon..

    Well the temps gone down to -1.... It's -5 where my Granny is in Fochabers. Serves her right being closer to the North Pole lol.
