Well here I sit in 2011 and already the bad news is starting to come in, why is it the Daily Mail Daily Express etc feel their only function in life is to piss us all off and-or frighten us all into a mad panic over imaginary threats like swine flue etc, they count the dead and seem to really enjoy telling us every time it goes up by the odd 1 or 2, and yet the death toll isn't half way to a 100 as it stands but they tell us it's a flu epidemic, no s&^t! we always have flu here in England it's the time of the year that causes it it would be stranger not to have one.
Even the weather is a weapon used to get at our fear centres, years ago when I was a nipper we had snow ice and all sorts of interesting seasons, even farther back even river would freeze and they would hold street fairs on them and a long time back we even had malaria on the fens as it was so warm weather is cyclic it's how our planet is so get use to it and don't listen to the green thing it's another panic/con that politician's have latched onto so they can screw more tax out of us all and anyway what can we do here it's a joke.
We are so safety driven that these day's half an inch of the white stuff and you'd think the world was going to end, people do odd things like panic at the first flake and stock up on bread and milk only to throw the stuff away once it's gone off, a few weeks ago it got so bad in Tesco's that they were fighting over the few loaves of breed that were being put out!.
No this year I refuse to panic and I refuse to have the swine flue jab why I hear you ask, well what they don't tell you is that anyone over 35 stands a much lower risk of getting it as it's the younger people it goes for and I'm 49 years old and I don't go out much so I'll let nature decide my fate!.
Have a good new years day and I remember don't panic well not just yet!.

I don't do panic Rkid, picnics maybe... Then again, the panic folks will have bought all the bread... Lol
Only thing I did yesterday was get some petrol, it was £ 1.19 a litre at the local garage but guess what, they had an electrical fault so couldn't serve anyone, haha.. Got it at one twenty one round the corner..
That's as near to panic as I get... Put a bit of fuel in the car...
Be well everyone.... Keep calm, don't picnic! LolMe-Tony

All is right in the world, folks, we have the first indignant snortings of the year from mellman on its first day - brilliant! Since when has good news sold any papers, mell? People love gloom and doom, they love to pontificate about the shortcomings of others, how they could sort things out so much better etc. Good news challenges one not. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Must say I was a bit panicky......having the ice and snow around for 3 or 4 weeks...thought I would never get out...but my poor friend in Ireland has been without water for 5 weeks....when she said they couldn't even get bottled water ....then I felt ashamedLove

Sorry all went off on one there!, but it's true more is less in some way's years ago we had less news and better content same for programs, take sky for instance many more channels but most programs are pap and the adverts are constant and you pay through the nose for it, that's why I only have free sat and free view there's enough on them to be going on with and I don't want to give Murdoch any of my money as I think the man is a nasty right wing weasel, he may have been an **** but Vince Cable can see him for what he trully is.
Anyway that's me finished I'm off to bottle me home brew wine.0
