Hello Gang this is a big sorry for not posting for a while. I would like to wish everyone a good new year, I have not been to well as of late. A change in my meds they took me off MTX I am not to use it anymore bad side effects. I have just started back on Sulfa but this seems to cause its own problems. I am at the consultants on the 6th so hope to get some answers.

    It's nice to hear from you, handsy, I am sorry to hear about the meth/sulpha problems, I hope they are settling/sorted: I know it's an old saw but it is so true, we all react so differently to these things and sometimes we begin to react to a drug that has been problem-free. Let's hope you can get some answers on 6th. Quite a few people have appointments that day! I hope you and Mrs H spent a pleasant Christmas and New Year together. DD

    no need to apologise for not being about..... we all need to take time out especially when we're fighting a fresh arther onslaught or trying to accommodate difficult med changes or feeling rough. :wink:

    It's nice to see you posting again!!!

    Good luck for the 6th... at least it' not long to wait to have your meds reviewed. I hope the rheummy comes up with a better more tolerable combo for you.

    Happy new year good to see you posting again. Your mtx, sulpha probs same as mine was. The sulpa caused four wks insomnia numb face and hands all day. In end got took off both and put on lovely lafludamide. That causes high blood pressure but they watch that and im a differant person on it. For now im sorted. Here hopeing they soft you out at hospital all the best Joanne

    I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.
