    THanks Jenny

it's not easy when we're not in control of what is going into our body is it?

I am hoping that I'll feel better this week when my body has got rid of the bug I seem to have got - thought it was the drip, but hubby has same symptoms now, so it looks like we've shared something nasty

hope your next trial dose works for you without the side effects!

hey, don't worry about what it is if it is working

    hugs

    Hi wonky

    Just catching up here

I hope you are feeling much better and the bug has gone.
Good luck if you have to ring the surgery all though it shouldn't be needed.
    Take care
    Thinking of you

    HI all

well I've seen my lovely GP today as I wanted to be sure she thought I was ok for the MTX tomorrow, and to let her know what's what with my treatment, as if I don't tell her no-one does

She was fab, and we've decided that we're doing an extra set of bloods tomorrow, and will delay the MTX a day until we've seen if the bloods are ok.

we're working on the over cautious side, but better that than not bother and be worse again!

had a slightly better day today , so hope that the bug has scarpered. 4 days for me to get over it, and only 24 hours for hubby    flippin arthur meds

    Hi Wonky
I am so glad you have such a nice GP, I hope you told her all about the phone call with your rheumy nurse, it really makes my blood boil, when they think it is acceptable to treat people like this.
Sorry I am swearing for you here..........but on the up side you are feeling a little bit better..between us we will get you there my love.
Sending you loads of hugs ((((((()))))

    Thanks Barbara

let's just say that she gave me several interesting questions to ask when I see them :wink:

Whether I get answers is another matter.

I am fortunate, and I know it, to have such a supportive GP & practice nurse. They have kept me going when I have felt like there was no reason to go on. It certainly does make such a difference to be able to deal with people we feel we can trust.

    Hi Wonky,

Oh there is always a reason to go on! Its god to have a decent practice nurse and gp.... I have had the experience of rubbish doctors and well the difference now with a good and kind one is incredible....

You were part the reason I have the guts to beg at different practice... tears helped at the time

I really hope this infusion will help you and that you feel much better soon. Slurs from him and ((((( ))))) from me xxx

Oh wonky, it don't get no easier do it, girl? The disease is foul, the meds are foul, having bugs is foul, currently the weather is foul and overall it is all pretty shift (as frogmorton would say). There are, however, bright spots (tho they do take a bit of finding from time to time). I hope the bloods are OK, I think it wise to hold off on the meth (as you know my rheumatology people and my GP both advise no meth when under the cosh with a bug/infection/boil or whatever) and I really hope the next infusion begins to do the trick. These meds promise so, so much, it is difficult not to get one's hopes up: being a jaded old cynic like me helps sometimes! I hope you are feeling better, that the bruises have faded and that you are less tired than you have been. DD
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben

    Thanks Julie, DD & Cris,

the bruises have indeed faded, though I got new ones today from taking the plaster off my arm after the bloods
Mouth is still sore, but no worse at least  As for tired, well I think I'm getting used to that again

Hey DD I Think I'm joining your club :lol::lol: I get more cynical by the hour when dealing with the NHS. 'national' it most certainly is not!!!

Today has had its bright spots, though being 'on hold' on the phone for an hour :x :x to a 'customer service centre' before I gave up wasn't one of them! I decided to play the system instead and will turn up in person tomorrow and demand a replacement kettle that is actually able to boil water  & when they tell me that they don't have a replacement in stock I can say that they have because I already reserved it online :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Right ..... better see what else has been happening on the forum before I head off to bed.

    hugs to you all

    hi wonky
awe was thinking about your kettle. It could be a sad story about the kettle that couldn't boil
Just imagine its gonna be put in a trash bin now like them (did you used to watch it)Raggy dolls. Was one of my daughters favourite programme and books.

on a serious note (stopped being silly now) I hope you either get it changed or a refund. Cold coffee not good.

Glad the bruises have gone and you are not feeling too bad.
    take care
