Hi All
we had snow but it was washed away by the rain thank god , so lesson went ahead . he called at 9.30am and sat and talked for half an hour then asked me to drive today was mainly about turns in the road mirrors singal speed , he found that I tend to speed up when turning , I started to master it but he said right your time is nearley up they should allow extra time for there wee talk . but I sure enjoyed the lesson but sadly I only about 23 mins driving so at least its another lesson booked for next tuesday 11 th January 2011

Mike, I;m not being funny or anything, but this is gonna cost you a lot of money. I don't know what they charge these days, but you are better getting a friend to take you to A.S.D.A. car park at midnight for an hour or so, just until you get the basics right.
Your driving lesson bill is going to be horrendous otherwise. It seems that this is a longish job, and you could be talking a lot of money here.
Good luck with the lessons, make sure this guy doesn't try to ripp you off like some I have seen. Good luck. Alanthemanc

You are in the driving seat, literally. When he shuts his door, you start the engine and go. That'll stop his gab. You are paying for driving tuition, not conversation. Remember Mike: he shuts his door, you start the engine - oh and you should enquire, perhaps, whether his seat belt is done up. DD

    Mike

Alan is right about your driving lesson, a 5 min chat yes about what to do on that lesson & feedback after but no more is needed. You pay for driving tuition not a chat. Please don't take it the wrong way, it's your money Mike.

Wishing you lots of luck on your driving

Thank you all for the advice , I take it all on board , the driving lessons are costly for one a week , that is why I going to get a few more then just book my theroy and if I pass it then I will book my driving test , I am thinking 6-8 should be the number of lessons that I need

    Hi Mike
Good Luck with the lessons, the instructors do have to have chats with you, but it sounds like its being dragged out a little.
Like Mike says if you can get some practice in between , it will help.

Well done mike you are doing well keep it up x:D

I do like Alan's idea about going to A**a car park on a sunday evening though to practice - you know anyone who would take you there??

    If I lived nearer I would :))

Bet there will be less talking next week

    Love
