Phone is great (Techno Wizard Daughter helps) and am still learning new stuff.
Got all my contacts on Google now so that the phone syncs with it and I'll never have to worry if I lose the phone. Synced with Google calendar too. SWMBO, daughter and myself are all on ilattitude so we know exactly where the other is at any time of the day.
Shoulder is in 4th place behind the Insomnia Troll, Itch Witch and Snot Dragon.
Well at least the phone is good! Lol
The new phones are fantastic eh? I don't know what I would do without mine, I am going to put a few films on it for Friday, got my spine injections in the afternoon, could mean some waiting around either before or after....
Just off to sleep so catch you later matey,
be wellMe-Tony

I need a new phone, and have been thinking about going the contract route as PAYG is costing me a small fortune now (texting too many people on here!). I rarely make calls (probably would if on a contract tho) but text like a daemon: wot you reckon del? Should I stick to PAYG? I want a raspberry curve or summat similar. Mr DD has one of those and it's great, but as his is donated by his office and he doesn't pay a penny for it he cannot advise me. I am glad you like your phone - they are wondrous things nowadays. I am spending a fortune, it's closer to £30. Eeeek! Thank you del, I appreciate your advice. I hope your shoulder is easing - and I love the bug. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Sounds like you have it sussed Del..
I have the Sams..g Galaxy S, on T-Mo...e, it's £35 a month and I get £240 to spend as I wish, so if I use calls it takes off so much per minute, texts, so much each etc.. Get free unlimited internet for life of contract too... It is one hell of a phone, very happy with it.. Only has one downfall... No flash on the camera, although it has a night mode setting it's not the same, daft really... Would have been so easy to include one.
I am like DD, don't really do the whole talkie talkie bit, but I text like a demon, pictur messages are included in the tarrif, so everyone in my contacts gets regular random pics.. lol
OH has the exact same conract and at the end of each month she's usually got on average £100 credit left, so even if I use all mine, which I have managed before, then I have hers to use up..

I have always had Smasnug, and always found them good, but I fancy a change. I think interweb access could be useful, but I haven't ever used either of my phones for that, although they can do it. Oh decisions, decisons. Any views about Iphones? Do they flatter to deceive? DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Oh I actually do love my ICrap
Its not as good as the hype makes out but it works rather well for the stuff I use it for (email, free txts app, quite a few brilliant apps, photos and some work stuff)...for a smart phone its not too big, and it works well with all the other apple tech I have.....tis also really simple to work out which I love as although I'm not afraid of technology I can't stand overly complex stuff. Camera is also very good - although flash is a little harsh when on auto but can be switched off
Main complaint the vibrate isn't very strong  ....so I don't always feel it when it goes off in my pocket
I like it much more than OH's HTC

Ah, Mr DD used to have an HTC which he loved, but his office replaced it with a raspberry, which he didn't. Mind you, he's had it for over six months and only got around to reading the handbook over Christmas, thus discovering all sorts of useful bits of info, so now he likes it a little better. I think I am happy to remain app-less. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
