DD - thanks for making me smile! About the chocolate, the Holiday Inn, and just generally! I have the same one as you. Does Mr DD give you a sticker afterwards to say well done? Mr StL just stuck one of the humira stickers on me! So now I will write 'Humira' in my diary and wear the stickers!!!! Maybe not outside though! How are you doing?

Rita - thank you for being so lovely!! I hope you can have a restful weekend.

Cris - well the skivvy is doing a great job - currently watching QI! He needs some time off after cooking me dinner, running around after me and listening to me moaning all the time about anything and everything...oh and force feeding me Diclofenac! How are you doing? xxx

I have my Winnie the Pooh calendar all dated up (for the next 12 weeks) for the big H and the big M: next week is two jab week ( **** me, I know how to live) and the injection sites are listed so I don't get them in a muddle. Mr DD did put the stickers on my calendar (last year) but I HATE THEM. I now bin them with the rest of the bin-able detritus. On the big H days (if I am not in a temper and therefore do it with support) I receive a cuddle and a cuppa and go to bed. The meth will be a solo activity. It isn't as bad (having got over the ridiculous wobble earlier this week - ) and I don't want him involved to that extent. This is my problem, not his. Once a fortnight is enough. And probably too much. I should have grown a backbone by now - the fact that I haven't is extremely irksome. DD

I re-cycle what I can (IBC are very good on that front). Why does it hurt? Well, it's powerful stuff plus we don't have a guide to our nerves (I think they should be picked out, on our skin, in green - they would show up then) so it is a case of stab and hope. I take mine out of the fridge for about 30 minutes before the dread deed - it does lessen the sting if warmer. I also (luckily) have a ten inch vertical (and wide) scar down my abdomen (thanks to a 'slash and grab' op to remove a very stale ovary) and the nerves have never grown back - I benefit from a lovely 'dead' bit on my tummy, but I do not inject near the navel (one shouldn't, I don't know why). There are also less nerve endings in the stomach (that is as a general rule) so I prefer that to thigh jabs (more nerve endings, and also a little more taut, which doesn't help). I know a gruesome fact about navels, murder and pathologists. DD

Oh you are so going to HAVE to tell me your gruesome fact now!!!

Mine hurt mildly less this time than the first two but it is so painful I can't speak when it's in or for a little while after!

I replied in shock horror but amused! But it doesn't seem to have sent to you...did you get a message back?

I'm off to bed soon I think...too sore to sit here much longer!
