The last good bye

sitting here quietly
At the end of the day
We sit and silently pray
we are with you; hold your hand
You are in a distant land
Just Waiting; hear every breath
Getting closer;that thing, death
Angels, softly hear their tread
A light glows around your bed
Each of us says our good bye
Desolate hearts, we start to cry
Cannot believe you are gone
A wonderful lady, We call mom

    That is lovely Joanne.

It is fitting for me, as my Dad died 3 years ago this Sunday, I am feeling very emotional, you always do leading up to the anniversary so thank you.

That's lovely, made me think of my late, great (not great as in "great", but just "fab", if you know what I mean) Gran - she was an old battleaxe and I miss her all the time 2 years on.

I am glad you liked it. Moms birthday would have been yesterday. It is my sons today and the tenth was my late grandmothers birthday.
