Hi everyone!
My back really started acting up, the pain isn't dull and annoying anymore, now it's sharp and burning! Is there any exercises I could that would help?
I hope this is just a worst flare than usual and that's it cuz this is unbearable, it's not just freakin' annoying, it hurts constantly...
Thanks for your help all, you've been very helpful so far :)

I agree with del, sunnyhours, we don't 'know' you, the extent of your problems or any possible remedy. It's best to see your doc/physio, as they do - or should - know that! I hope it eases soon. DD

Yep Sunny get some advice ASAP.

In the meantime I tend to just get a wheatbag and take my anti-inflams when my back does this. and painkillers as prescribed.

Backs tend to lock and the muscles go into spasm around the affected area to protect it then THEY hurt too :???:

    Stoopid eh?

    Take care

    Love

    Hi
there are some brilliant books at the library on back exercises, but you must get to see a physio first.

If you're waiting for ages on a physio apt. and this is a new pain in your back then I'd say try to see your GP. It could be any number of things but I find a hot water bottle or wheat bag can sometimes help ease the pain a little. Hope you get something sorted soon.

I was supposed to go do my blood work today or at least see a doctor, but my back is keeping me in bed...
Now it's too late for the blood tests and pretty much too late for the doctor as well :(

Never mind sunnyhours, things will pick up and you can go and get those things done. It will pass, all things do. Can you crank up the pain relief at all? DD

Nope, sadly I'm maxed out on Diclofenac,Tylenol and Celebrex :(
The thing that sucks is I was unable to do my blood tests, and my appointment is on the 14th...I'm also scared it'll turn out negative (weird huh?) and if it does turn out to be negative for Lupus and Rheumatoid Factor than my doctor won't believe my pain and it'll just be a downward spiral from there. He already doesn't believe my joints hurt (Lower back, Knees, Elbows and Left hand) so my only chance is to get a positive result on the blood work
BTW I just got up but it obviously isn't much better...

That is what I have in mind. I'm feeling a bit better today :) I just wish I had a compassionate Doctor that would try to find what's wrong with me...as I am not sure dismissing my pain is good news for me. Also with the quantities of Tylenol and Advil I am taking it's probably not good for my liver and stomach...
Toni, can I ask how you got a diagnosis? Did the doctor just do a differential diagnosis or is there other ways?
