Tony is off today to see what they can do for his back. I should have done this yesterday and didn't - Tony, I apologise, mate, I dropped the ball. I hope it goes well for you and that they can do something to help. Did I read somewhere that you are not allowed to eat anything today? Aaaaaargh! I shan't tell you about my breakfast then, scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, then devilled kidneys followed by a full fry-up with fried bread to boot, and gallons of tea, 'cos that wouldn't be fair to you. I doubt they will do much about your knees - your steroids were in November, yes? They can be quite fussy about the three month rule, but they do - and have - moved the goalposts from time-to-time, so you never know.
Good luck Tony - I am with you in spirit. DD

I just wanted to say good luck for your injections today. I've only ever had the ordinary steroid injections some in my hip and one in my foot. I hope it all goes well for you.

He's in recovery, and waiting for a lift home. They did about eight injections in his spine - I am not sure if they did his knees, but he did ask. I have no doubt he'll be on later - even if he should be resting! DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Thanks everyone, really means a lot that you've all posted on here.
I'm sat in recovery ward at minute, think it went well, haven't tried to walk yet though, lol
He did both my knees again, wasn't going too but I insisted he did as they're so bad, then he did eight in my spine.
Said its a slow acting steroid so could take ages to work if its going to and could get worse before getting better, joy of joys, haha.
I'm still smiling though, you know me...
Will be back on later on, I'm now on my way home as my lift turned up half way through starting this....
Thanks again everyone
Just seen your last post DD, thanks hun..Me-Tony

Rest, Tony, please. That will give everything the best chance to work: don't use your PC tonight, I remember your 'odd' arrangement and it won't do you ANY GOOD. Use your phone if you must, BRIEFLY, but then rest, REST and REST DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hello Tony, pleased to hear all went well for you and hope you are now safe and comfortable at home.
Does not sound as though you had same type as I did, so you will not be getting a numb tummy :???:
Take care and take it easy - no making snow angels

Hi Tony
So glad it is over with for you, I really do hope you get some benefit from them.
Dont forget the anesthetic has to wear off, that is when you will feel your pain, just give it time, they do say walk about in between resting.
Good Luck

Hi folks, won't be staying on too long tonight, DD might tell me off, lol.. Jusy kidding, will be trying to sleep soon
Just wanted you all to know that I am doing ok, legs are stiff, so is the back but the anaesthetic hasn't quite worn off yet so will be expecting that to happen through the night
Many thanks to you all, DD especially, was a lovely thought hun..

Hi Tony
Glad to see you are home safely after your injections, and that you didn`t get snowed in at the hospital!!
I hope you have a good nights rest and are soon feeling the benefit from the injections.
