I am not an orthpaedic surgeon either, bertyboy, so I have no idea if your knee is right or not but I do know what constant pain is like and it does get one down. Only four days to go, yes? Hopefully some answers will be given, and that will be a good thing. I'll be in a pocket, if that's OK with you. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi berty
I will be with you for sure - remember it's your body and you know it best so be assertive ( I'm sure you are polite anyway) and take someone - other than us lot with you.
Tell cris i will remove the needles when she needs me too - and I'll even bring me specs before I start

Hi Berty, hope you get some answers and a proposed solution ont the 12th.
If you knee isn't right - then as you say it would be painful. Pain meds should help, but they never take the pain away entirely - just mask it/make it more bearable. If the pain meds aren't working at all - then they aren't the right ones for you.
SpeedyI have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.0
