Dear PA

I won't bother enquiring after your health: I know you are in rude good form, I can feel you in my bones and on my skin. You are certainly in the ascendancy at the moment so I cannot, and will not, deny you that. I hope you are enjoying yourself whilst you can, because, my friend, it is not going to last.

Tonight (as you probably realise) I shall hit back with the humira - oh I can hear you laughing, chuckling with glee! Yes, yes, I know it is a puny little weapon without much punch, but tonight might be different. You see, I think it will be administered with a good dose of temper to wing it on its way and that will, I hope, give it the extra oooomph that it needs to send you reeling. I know it will not be the knock-out blow you so deserve, and you know that too, but I do think it should be enough to put you back into your little, sealed box, where you belong. You know how the Golden Snitch is stored? Yup, I have a very similar box for you.

You have had a fair few cracks at me over the past thirteen years and nine months, but you haven't won yet, have you? You have tried and tried and tried, but failed, and you will fail again. Have your fun whilst you can, but I will put you back in that box, I will seal it, and I won't let you out for a good long while. That is a promise - you will not ever, ever beat me. DD

Yep you tell 'im girl

Last Thursday I had an uninvited visit from Arthur and his neice and nephews the Screwmatics. He said they'd come for afternoon tea, huh.

The undisciplined children wouldn't sit down and Alanannoy announced that his magic wand would produce a lovely big rash where I'd done my Cimzia injection earlier in the day. He was miffed when his wand had a power failure as I'd already taken antihistamines for the previous two days.

Percypainup, not to be outdone by his brother, proclaimed that he'd give my neck and shoulders real grief. A quick squirt with the Deep Heat stopped him in his tracks.

Then the little minx of the quartet, Ireneirritate said she was going to make my psoriasis grow and grow. I waved an industrial sized tub of E45 cream at her and told her to think again.

Bringing up the rear, Sidnosleep said he was going to make sure I stayed awake all night. Well, he wasn't, I'd got a few carefully stored Zopiclone and together with the trammies I'd be seeing dainty fairies not devilish demons during the dark hours.

Upon leaving they had the temerity to say that they'd be back with their mum and dad, Alfredagony and Mabelmisery Screwmatics. Oh no they won't. My arsenal might not be the state of the art but it can keep that dysfunctional family at bay for a while 8)

willliamlargs, dare I ask for a translation or would it be a step too far for AC? To everyone else, thank you for your suppport. This fat woman is close to falling off her very wobbly unicycle at the moment but I will hang on like grim death - well, not exactly, one doesn't 'hold on' to a unicycle, does one? The blasted P is on the sole of my right foot, so pedalling has become more painful than usual, (cue sarcastic typing) oh diddums DD, get over it! Cherrybim, your dysfunctional family has made me smile - wryly, I will admit, but it has raised a grin - thank you. Shall we head for the den? Bring yer furry coat, girl, you've pulled! DD

Yup. DD is kitted out, as per usual. Should give 'em both up, but really cannot be ar**d at the mo. What would I write about anyway, apart from arthritis? It's all I know now, and OK, it isn't a limited subject, as we all know, but it carntarf be a dull one.

Well, it's Wednesday, which means the coup de grace will be shortly be administered. I am off to play nurse in the bathroom. It would be so much more fun if I had a hunky 'doctor' to help! DD

It's now 20 minutes or so later. All done, and what a world of difference it has made.
