Popeye Elbow (otherwise known as olecranon bursitis)

I have today learned that my elbow bursitis (or olecranon bursitis as the doc called it) is also known as "Popeye Elbow" - if you can picture the shape of Popeye's elbows you'll know why. I think that's a much nicer name for it!
The doc prescribed antibiotics for it last week, but I think perhaps I just need to eat less spinach!
Made me chuckle anyway.

Hi Tilly
I can just see you opening the spinach with one hand, I do hope the ABs work for you, it must be so painful.
Good Luck

I wish I looked like Olive Oyl. So thin, so thin . . . . . I hope it all clears up soon, tilly, it must be very uncomfortable. I wish you well. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Thanks Barbara and DD!
I took my last antibiotic pill today and the infection has cleared up nicely! Still have the Popeye elbow but less so than before. GP says that probably won't go away - had it for months but no real problems until the infection so not too worried about it.
Think I will give the Spinach a miss tho. And, DD, I too would very much like to be like Olive Oyl!!!
