Hiya,
Went to GP yesterday about the Tramadol and he's taken me off it. I seem to only need to take a couple of any new drug before I take a reaction. He's now put me on Acupan-Nefopam Hydrochloride.
Cheers,
Magenta x

    Hi Jilly,
Pain clinic for me wasn't so great. Went October 2008 where they listened to all my woes and suggested carbamazepine. Once again, it didn't agree with me-made me like a zombie-on the smallest dose! They tried to get me onto a pain management programme only for them to write and tell me I wasn't allowed to go cos I didn't live in the centre of Glasgow. Had a follow-up appt. for October 2009 only for that to be put back to March this year. Not great. My only hope is this maxfacial surgeon, I'll just have to wait and see-again!
Glad you got their help though

    Hi Cris,
I'm no great the now. How are you? Very wet where you are then? I'm getting a bit scunnered about all my pain just now. Even my gp asked if anyone was helping me-he said that surely they (I think he meant the consultants) must be trying to alleviate my pain. He was actually quite concerned which was nice but he can't do much except try and find me a pain-killer that works for me. I got told off though for not taking the Tramadol for a month after it was prescribed  I told him I was scared  What am I like,eh?
Are you feeling a bit better now after the horrible time you've had lately? Hope so doll
    love Eileen x

    Hi Eileen,
Flower tramadol is ok.. and tends to work a bit as well.... What abut the nerve blockers? Gabapentin or pregabalin? I used t find the pregabalin very effective but been on them a log time now so they work but not as well.

Don't know if you have ever taken wither or can for that matter but might be worth mentioning them if you haven't tried them?

Me..... I was written off and lost a sheep al inside 24 hrs..... Plummet like a stone in a bottomless lake...... black water as well  You lot chucked me some water wings so least I am floating

Hang in there Eileen cus sooner or later you will get a combination that works. ((((( ))))) and a bucket of warm air and sunshine to throw at the snow. Love Cris xxx

    Hi Toni,
I have been looking at the box again  I'm starting them tomorrow when I don't need to drive anywhere, thay may make me sleepy.

    Hi Cris,
I read your sad post about your sheep and your appointment, I didn't know how to bring it up in conversation. You seem cheerier the now-I'm glad. Tried Gabapentin-can't take them!
