I am cool!

I have it on authority.
My eldest is 12 and had her friends over last week for her birthday (nothing like a party to check out the company your kids keep). She also had a friend over for tea tonight. Her younger sisters (7 and 8 ) also had a friend each for tea (although they couldn't quite eat ALL of their friend - sorry).
They think I'm cool! They also think I'm LOTS of fun
Ellen (12) has taken to holding her head in her hands every time I mention how cool her friends think I am. What makes me smile most is how much I embarrass her - it's always been an ambition to be as embarrassing as possible to my children.
Anyone else embarrass their kids? It's great fun. I like to show Ellen's friends my tattoo and announce that, not only am I wearing my PJs (even if we're out somewhere), I am also not wearing a bra

Hi Nina
They think you are cool and lots of fun because YOU ARE :!:
My son gives me a certain look when I embarrass him ( frequently ), then he just shakes his head in despair and calls me '' Mother dear '' in a very pitying way   My daughter just disowns me, and pretends that she doesn't know me if I embarrass her.
Times have changed, I think, because I would never have regarded my parents as cool in any way.

Would never think of my folks being cool either Joan, but then again, they dint have a punk wedding

Its the ultimate in cool ( or embarrassment, possibly :?:
) to have parents who had a punk wedding

I go out of my way NOT to embaress my 12 year old son.And I am facebook friends with 3 of my children and they don't seem to mind but we have an agreement- no embaressing photographs.
My young children hate our taste in music-dad music they call it and listen to all that garbage about nowadays.

and crutches, how uncool are they? I have staggered to a few school meetings without them because I don't want my son to get any abuse about a crippled mum,
