I have been thinking a lot latley which is dangrous for me people say its the little things in life that make it worth it i guess i have known this for a while but never realy understood what it meant, and now i think i know see it the little thing that we take for grandted becouse we have or do them all the time like for me now just been able to play football is great even though i regrate it the day after but before this i could do it all the time and becouse of that i would get bored or it just didnt seem as good. these little things give us something to look forward to in hard times it gives us little hope and it comfurts us. well what i am trying to say is that even though i dont like my problem i am glad that the little things are there to help shove me back up from the dumps and cheer me up.
i just wanna say thank you all becouse you are one of those little things and also my best friend even though she cant see this but i will tell her

Well aren't you a sweetie, Darren? You are dealing with a great deal at the moment, and doing it with grace and humour. It seems so unfair that arthritis has a pop at the young as well as us old 'uns but I reckon you will find your way thro this and we will do what we can to help. Thank you for the compliment - I like being one of your little things! DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi , Darren , glad you can still find some blessings to count when you have to deal with so much . My blessing to count today was a visit from my youngest son's girlfriend with a gorgeous bunch of flowers . Keep being cheery , it makes it easier to bear the less pleasant bits of this malady . Hi Darren
You will see from my thread ''Little things mean a lot'' that it is often the small things in life which can make all the difference. With Arthur raising his ugly head, it's sometimes difficult to stay positive, and you are young to be having to cope with all the pain and discomfort of it. I think the key is to try to concentrate on the things which you can do, and enjoy them as much as possible, rather than to dwell on the things you can't do. I try to take each day as it comes, and to appreciate the things which make me happy. I enjoy painting, so when I'm involved in that, I can blank out the bad stuff like pain and fatigue for a while. It sounds as though football has much the same effect for you, even though you might pay the price later.
Good luck to you in your exams

Hi Darren
What a lovely post, you are so right , its surprising what you can do when you try, and because you have achieved something then it means even more.
You keep up the good work
