Hi everyone,
how are you all? Sorry I've not been on for a while but I've been concentrating on getting myself to a good place, it seems to have worked. I've finally worked out for myself what meds and at what level works best for me, not neccessarily what the docs have said, I expect they'll have a moan about that at my next appointment (15th Feb:) I't my birthday today and I've got to say I'm having a "good" day and the other good news is I get my new (motability) car on Friday after my accident in December so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that things continue like this for as long as possible.

Sue x :grin::grin::grin:

    Happy Birthday Sure, I'm so glad that you're having a good day today, it goes a little way towards making up for the bad ones eh? Bet you can't wait for the new car, it'll be like an extra birthday present to yourself... What are you getting? My new one is due on the thirteenth of next month, cannot wait, I'm getting the new meriva.

    Wishing you all the best, it's nice to hear some positive news for a change..

    Be well :grin::grin:

    Good for you, nanasue. Sometimes looking after oneself has to take priority and I am pleased that things are looking up for you. Keep at the good work, long may it last. DD

    PS There is nothing wrong with a good healthy dose of the '**** the docs' attitude: they deal with theory, we with the reality. You find what works for you, that is the important thing, their approval is not necessary. I hope you enjoy your birthday!

    A positive attitude is half the battle so **** the bad days and make the most of the good! I really love reading these when people are taking a stand against their arthritis and teaching it who is boss!!
    Happy Birthday nanasue :grin:

    Oooooh, Mr DD has had a Ford Focus for years, for a man who loathes driving he's been pleased with them, and from an arthritis point of view I have always found them comfortable. You forgot the important bit tho: what colour? :smile: I am glad you have enjoyed your day. DD

    Sounds like things are on the up, Nanasue. Long may it continue.

    I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

    Hope you have had a nice birthday, Sue..

    I have a ford focus and it's excellent ... the seats are the perfect height and I just slide in and out of them.. I just wish mine was an automatic..

    Best wishes

    My Dad has the cmax at the minute and it's very comfy, I've got a galaxy seven seater as a courtesy car while my rubbish scenic is being repaired, it is lovely, comfortable, handles well, it's auto and the gear change is great... I told the garage today to take their time fixing mine as I'm happy with this one, lol...
    Hope you enjoy the focus when you get it!
