Hi all,
well I had my driving lesson , we did roundabouts oh joy !. He called at 90.29am , talked in my driveway about the roundabouts to 10.50am we then drove to a roundabout did a few turns , I was slowing down but found the brakeing lever go slack ( this told me that he was using the dual controls , so I did my turn straigtened up and took my hand of the brakeing lever and told him that only did that as he was working the dual controls ) another thing that anoyes me is he always is leaning over to adjust my sterring wheel an example ( we were in a car park and he told me to steer around a blue car as I was steering around it , he leaned over to push my steering towards another parked car , saying no we will go that way in stead) he is always using the dual controls cause I feel the brakeing leaver go lose telling me that he has control og the brake now

now I get another lesson in my own car on Thrusday by another instructor and he is very different , he lets me steer brake if I am going to do things wrong he knows I will correct it myself. he always tells me that I am doing well, and prefers to let drive and learn as I go ( not sitting in my driveway ) now on last sunday we did roundabouts it was only after I did them that I told him that I had not learned about them . he said well you did very well . my other instructor hardly gives me praise.

cant wait until thrusday and sunday for more lessons in my own car

I would seriously think of changing your original instructor if it's possible Mike, don't get me wrong, a bit of tough love can do us good but he should be helping build your confidence not knocking it.
Would it not be possible to do all the lessons you are having now with the decent instructor in your car?

    Best of luck Mike.

Thats what I am thinking of doing . this instructor seems to go to the same route each time as he is not fairmiy with where I live , he is from the disabled centre in Belfast , so carrickfergus is new to him .

But this new instructor is used to driving over a lot of places , so might say, bye bye to the instuctor from the disabled centre he goes over the same lesson until you get it right. at £25.00 per hour and today all I got was 45 minis cause he talked from 9.30am to 9.50am then lesson over at 10.30am.
