Hi all,

I havent posted recently and thought I would pop in.

its now very nearly 10 months since I had TKR, the pain is unfortunately very high still and other problems are creeping in due to it.

However if I could do it again, I would go for TKR it is worth giving it a try and if we do nothing then we dont have a chance of getting better!

I hope you are all as good as it can get, i am in to see consultant next week and willgive you an update of my bone scan then!

    Hi Zec

It is good to hear from you. I want to wish you all the very best at your appointment next week and please do let us know how it goes for you.

To me you are great and to say that you have no regrets on having the TKR is good to hear even though it is still causing you great discomfort and all the rest. Perhaps in your particular situation it was a different outcome that you were hoping for and I am only very sorry that the pain still hangs on.

    Chin up,
    Luv

The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.

    Hi Zech

    Good to see you.

sorry the outcome of your TKR has not been as you would have hoped

Thank you though for being so positive about the opp. It IS worth a go isn't it? there might be people on here now who are in need of it and your attitude will help them a lot.

Yes it is worth a shot, the success rates are very very high and we must be positive about trying to help our symptoms with surgical intervention.

I don't regret trying at all, otherwise I would be just thinking what if and possibly end up having the surgery anyway later on and far worse off.

I will let you know how I get on, the consultant has already discussed amputation with me and so there are still options to help me get out of this pain
