Anesthetic injection into the hip joint ?

Has anyone had the experience of having an Anesthetic injection into the hip joint to ease the pain ?

I know that tillypink is having the exact same procedure today -or at least something very similar, there is a very recent thread on here about it, she was basically asking the same question as you. DD

Hi Rictina
Is it just anaesthetic and steroids, usually the injection is for both, the anaesthetic eases the pain while the steroids get to work.
I may be wrong

See tilly's thread for advice maybe? I forgot to mention to her that I found my walking stick very useful afterwards :oops: ...maybe an idea to be prepared?
