Had an email from this person, on the 24th Jan and they joined on the 24th?? Any ideas or do you know this person?

    I have no idea, I don't recognise the name - do you mean today the 24th? I think ignoring it may be the best course of action: if you have any doubts about it or if it was nasty in anyway then contact jean123. DD

    Could possibly be a spammer of some kind.. Did they day anything else? I wouldn't reply anyway...

    As DD said, anything you are unsure about contact one of the mods, they will advise..

    I'm with Tony, it does sound iffy. I had a very similar thing from someone a few weeks ago, he joined very early one day, posted vilely on a couple of ebk's old threads and sent me a couple of 'uncomfortable' messages via PMs. The mods despatched him. (No, not with a guillotine!) DD

    I couldn't get hold of the web manager re this, so have banned him/her pending further investigation that I don't have the facility to do. I have made the ban permanent. There won't be any more pms from this person, and if they contact in any other way, please let us know.

    I had an e-mail from a 'Maria' a week or so back. Didn't recognise the e-mail addrees but thought it might have been connected with my AC postings. She wanted a chat but there was a mention of pictures! Deleted it straight away!

    I've had one from Manzar too. Must admit I did feel uncomfortable about it. I sent a short reply but have deleted it till I'm told otherwise.

    I very nearly did report it Tony but part of me wondered whether Manzar was a genuine person who needed help and so I gave him/her the benefit of the doubt. I would hate to think I'd turned someone away who just wanted advice.

    I was relieved to see this thread to find out I wasn't the only one.

    I've never had them on this site but on outher sites that i own you get them......weird people with little else to do.......I use the ban button right away {Of course thats on ones where I own them or am admin} so just report them to the admins right away....they'll check out if they are genuine or not
