Morning everyone
today I go for a CT scan and will also be injected with fluid so that it shows up all blood vessels. The scan is as most of you know ,in prep for neck op in a few months.
will let you know how it went, but, my appointment is not while 4.45 (how late is that ) will be ready for my tea at that time.
Have a good day every one

4.45? Crikey, that's nearly bed time! I hope they choose a pretty colour for the vein etc illumination - be daft if they went for blue, yes? I will be there, you can stuff me down the back of your chair seat (I don't take up much room - who am I kidding?) and I will surreptitiously supply you with fizz to take your mind off it all. I hope the lovely Maurice will be going with you - tell him he's under orders from DD, that'll shake him up! I am sure it will all be fine, julie47pf, make sure you rest when you get home, we can wait until tomorrow to hear all about it! (Another excuse for a play with your lovely machine!) I will be thinking of you. DD

    Hi Julie

I dont know if you've had one of those before, but it's the one you can see out of the doughnut one so is not at all scary.

Very late though they rarely run late unless they have to squeeze an emergency in.

Mind you if you ask me that's a good excuse for a takeaway

    Will be with you

    Love

    Toni xx

Hello all you lovely people. You are so kind to have kept popping in to see how i am. The appointment was for 4.45 but didn't get in till 5.15. They
were running late. I think it took them longer to find a vein than the actual scan. Cor blimey that stuff they send through the veins give you a weird sensation. Makes you think you have wet your self   Honest it was just a sensation and I was warned.
The overall scan was quite ok. Not scary at all , and I think it only took 20 mins.
The results will now go straight to the surgeon and he will discuss them with me when he sees me in may.
Now then poppy, tracy,dd, toni, barbara, berty, tony, cath and cris. How about a can of tonys tetleys or if you would prefer, a cup of tea.
(toni i didn't want a take a way Just wanted toast )
Cris I hope you are ok hun, and are now home and resting.
    Thank you all again
    You are a wonderful bunch

    Hi Julie,
I’m glad that is out of the way for you now. Has the weird feelings of the dye thingy disappeared now?
May seems to be a long way off for you to get the results, but as you say you will be putting all your thoughts into the wedding.

You must feel shattered after all the stress of the day so I hope you manage to have a proper nights rest tonight.

There are so many new words i am learning with this disease i may take up being a student doc  and yes such a funny feeling.(tony I know you are tea total, actually as i am typing this i am laughing cause i have only just got it ....tetley in a bag....as you so rightly say coming from yorks you automatically think of brewery ) sorry. I am tea total too.

Ironic the feeling was only a minute or so but very wierd. And yes thoughts now return to wedding plans. (thats exhausting too but pleasant eexhaustion)

Sorry, my lovely flamingo, I missed your post somehow, I ain't too sharp at the mo, I do apologise. Right, yes, that odd feeling, is it like when they wash thro a cannula tube thingy? I hate that, the feeling of coolth swishing up your arm, UGH. If it was that all over you how very, very odd. Anyhoo, it's done and dusted, so let's hope the results show up all that they are meant to and that that helps the surgeon formulate a good plan.

Right, back to the wedding, much, much nicer thoughts! DD
