Hi, I have cervical spondylosis and was just wondering if anyone with the same condition has problems with their clavical. I think that's the name for the bone I mean. ( The bone at the bottom of the neck on the front)

Just started with the pain the last few days.
Thanks

Your calvicle is the bone at the front that connects your shoulder to the top of your breast bone - you mean that one? What sort of trouble are you having - does the pain feel like your other arthritis pains or does it differ somehow? I am wondering if you have strained or pulled something (I guess with helping your husband to move that could be a possibility) or slept awkwardly for a couple of nights because of your neck - but as you know I am not a doc. Hi DD,
the pain is sort of radiating from my neck and round to the front.
Can't believe how fast the arthur's is progressing.
Went Doc's yesterday and need x-ray on the hip that's not been re-surfaced-knew I had oa in it but hey ho another bone/joint bites the dust.
Pain killers not touching anything at the moment.
1st time I've met my Doc though and she actually listened.
    take care

Oh dear, I really don't know then, but at least the doctor listened, which is a good thing. What pain meds are you on? PM me that info if you prefer. DD

    Hi dylily
sorry tht arthur seems to be taking over at rrapid speed at the moment.
As you may know i am having trouble with my neck and for a long time i have had slight ache some times in my clavical. Infact it is dislocated, as i move my arms you can see both bones moving. This gave a great discussion between a rheumatologist and students.(was as if i waasn't there.) I have not been told it has anything to do with my neck problem though, in my case it's prob more to do with shoulders :???: who knows?
Apparently though it's not as bad as if it was a dislocated other joint. I can live with this.
I hope you get sorted soon, and that you can get arthur back in control.
Please let us know how you go on.
    sorry i wasn't much help

    Hi Julie,

It just helps knowing other people understand.
We all get days when the pain seems to be everywhere don't we?
Having x-rays on my 'good' hip shortly to see if that needs replacing.!!!
Must admit I'm not usually this bad.
    Thanks for reply
    take care

good luck with the xray, hope the results come back ok and that no op is needed, will have my fingers crossed for you.
Hope that the pain can be treated with meds.
You are quite right we all have days that are worse than others.
Just got to keep smiling eh?
    Take care
