Hi, if anyone fancies a late night, there is a webinar this month at 12.15am feb 17th from Dr Christopher J. Centeno, M.D. He uses your own stem cells to heal your body. He offers treatment in America at a clinic in Colorado. This month he is online to answer questions related to stem cell therapy. Might be worth a watch. weblink [Edit: Old link removed] I think you need to register first in order to get invited to the webinar. I registered and they now keep me updated regularly, interesting stuff if you want to try and avoid surgery at any cost.

Today I have sent to Regenexx my right ankle MRI and supporting xrays. Next stage is a telephone consultation with a consultant regarding my ankle pain.0
-
Very very interesting... I'll be downloading the e book and reading it tonight... I'd be really appreciative if I may follow your progress.
Cheers

Hi Phil, yeah download the Regenexx-SD/AD brochures, that will explain everything. I have watched 5 webinars so far, you have to stay up late to watch them, but they are worth it. He has plenty of procedures, so I am sure one may fit your problem. I just hope that they can help me. I will report back once I have something new to say. I would imagine it'll be a couple of weeks as it takes 1 week for airmail to deliver my mri to them. If all goes well. I plan to go out in September this year.0

Good to see you Sturge.

If anyone is following my blog regarding stem cell therapy, here is my latest update for you. The clinic have received my mri and medical notes and I am scheduled for a telephone review with a consultant this Thursday at 6.30pm. Afterwards I will blog what is discussed. I just hope I fall into the GOOD candidate category.0

Hi Sturge
Good luck for your telephone reveiw...l will cross fingers for you that you DO meet the criteria and are deemed a 'good' candidate.

Feedback for anyone who is interested.
The American consultant has placed me as a good candidate for the stem cell treatment because I still have complete intact cartilage in both diseased joints, i am young and currently take no medications. As my mri shows oa in both ankle and subtalor joint, i probably will need two injections on the same day, one in each joint, which has bumped the cost up a bit. Awaiting complete price breakdown from intake coordinator before I make my final decision. Hard decision to make, if anyone has got some structured intelligent advice, please reply.0 -
Thanks for the feedback Sturge.
Excellent news for you to hear you are an ideal candidate.
Thanks for letting us know
Love

Fingers crossed for you ... Can't do any harm0

Update, for everyone.
I have now got the price breakdown and have to make the big decision as to whether or not I go for it. I think I would like to talk to a previous patient before I make up my mind. Not sure how I will do this. I know they have treated someone from the UK already. Be back when I have more info.0 -
Hi Sturge
I totally understand and respect that - l hope they are able to facilitate that for you. Look forward to hearing your news

The treatment cost must be considerable then?0
-
If the treatment works, its a fair cost, however if it doesn't work, then its hell of a lot of money down the pan. I confidently know that the technique which they offer won't provide me long term improvement, however it could just give me time until something has been developed in this field which does work long term. What needs to be developed is a stem cell matrix which stays in the joint culturing the cells as it heals. But this sort of tech is way off yet I think. This company in the UK seem to be on to something, have a read.
Hi Sturge, all this link leads to now is a Chinese/Japanese site, no idea what it is saying. Mod YEH http://www.azellon-ltd.com/index.php0 -
Had on Saturday a really long chat over Skype with a previous patient of Regenexx, a footballer in fact. He has a lesion in his cartilage, had previous failed microfracture surgery and opted for stem cell treatment because he has no other choice. 2 month later he's doing really well. He has given me the confidence to really consider stem cell treatment. He is 39, me 30 so we are way too young to have replacements or in my case fusion, so what are my choices? Limited is the answer. Speaking to him tonight to tie up some loose ends. Then its decision time.0

I have just started following your thread and am finding it very interesting. Please keep us informed over what you decide wont you.

Ok, after speaking to a previous Regenexx patient, he has given me the confidence to go through with it. I am going to America to try stem cell treatment for my ankle OA. We only live once, so I may as well try and help myself while I still can. I need to organise a credit card, flights, pre injections etc. I'll keep blogging as and when something happens worth mentioning. If anyone wishes to ask me anything, just pm me.
This is a link of a previous patients experience. I spoke to him on skype the other day.

Sturge, you also need an ESTA form for entry into USA. You can only get them online and it's as well not to leave it to the last minute in case there are any complications. Do get it from the official site https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta/esta.html (£14 I think now) as lots of other sites charge much more. Good luck.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hi Sticky wicket, what is one of these forms, why do I need one?0
-
It's an electronic system way of authorising entry into the USA. Previously (up to about 3 years ago) you filled in a form on board the plane and, if there was any reason why they didn't want you in the USA, you'd have to fly straight back again. This way it's all done in advance so people don't waste money on flights when they're not going to be allowed in, plus it saves time at immigration.
I'm sure you'll have no problem but it's as well to do it a month or so in advance just in case there's a hitch. But beware the unauthorised sites as, although what they do is valid, they can charge a lot more than the authorised one. Actually it may be $14 not £14.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Cheers this makes a lot of sense, I went to America 10 years ago and filled out the yellow form on the plane, good to see this way has come into play. The link which you gave me, is this a legit site?0
-
That's the government official one and therefore the cheapest, Sturge. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Flights are booked, injections are booked, roll on September 12th. I'll keep you up to date with my progress. Fingers crossed for me peeps.0

Big weekend for me, i fly out to the usa for my stem cell injections. I'll report back on my return in 2 weeks time.
These months leading up to it have been really busy – organising everything, I just hope its worth it.0
