Hi all,
I think I'm losing it! I was reading the thread from chiro clinic and thought it made good reading. When I went to look at replies on the 2nd page, I got a message saying I wasn't authorised to read the thread-now I can't find it. Why was it removed?

    Hi Magenta,

It's often removed if there's anything on it that might contravene the Forum Rules. Sometimes it's only temporary whilst the Mods check it properly. If it is put back any offending text or links might have been removed.

    It's nothing you did.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Eileen,

I didn't see all of it cus been a bit iffy this week but he did make some interesting points... through it was to me a bit of an advert.....

I seen 2 chiro's one helped the other messed me up so bad I had to lay flat for 6 weeks so you got to be careful and get one that doesn;t think he can get your pine and hips straight when there is a fairly good clinical reason why they never will :lol:

The second one did gentle trigger point work and was good actually.... I wonder sometimes if i should see him again but the pain doc and the physio with his acupuncture help so much and are lot cheaper

Hope your doing ok and i could eat a cyber curry... real ones the crohn's would kick at but cyber... it would be lovely :lol:

Hey also hope the family are ok and the gales weren't too bad your way? love and a ((((( ))))) cris xx

    Hi Cris,
Lovely to hear from you as always  How are you after your horrendous week?
My curry was lovely as were the spiced onions and peshwari naan......not good for my diet

We're having terrible weather here. I was out yesterday with Daniel (nearly 5) and we were coming out of a shop and because of the rain and gale force winds, we were running to the car. Thankfully I was holding Daniels hand cos he blew right off the ground!!!! He thought it was amazing and wanted to do it again!

Hope you're not getting the same awful weather,
    love Eileenxxxx

    Hi All,

I will keep this as brief as possible. I have no idea why our thread upon Chiropractic was removed, I am disappointed in this site for removing it, and disappointed in the hostile reception from certain vocal posters.

I was not 'touting' for business....and I certainly never 'eventually did so' (Delboy). Upon a request to 'put my money where my mouth was' I offered to give away a free consultation so one of your members could report to you about his chiropractic experience. If that counts as 'touting for business' on a national forum,... where I think it’s pretty unlikely that many of you are in my area,....then I guess I am guilty.

I don't know what experience Delboy has behind him to make him so extravagantly negative, but it is important that you all simply don't believe blindly people like that telling you emotive untruths. ''Unproven treatment''.....nonsense! Take a quick read through the national 'NICE' guidelines, around which the NHS is being restructured, and you will see that Chiropractic is not only accepted, but scientifically supported.

It is a shame that my thread was removed. We have a huge wealth of experience treating very successfully the symptoms of Osteo Arthritis, I could show you hundreds of hand written testimonials to back me up in what I have tried to explain to you about Chiropractic.....but I guess that would be advertising!?

I am sorry that your ignorant and vocal sceptics have limited your knowledge and options.....but genuinely,....good luck.

I would support you in your wish for chiro to be more widely acknowledged Simon

My son broke his back in three places and his Doctor referred him to a Chiropracter in conjunction with an Osteopath. That was 10 years ago. He still has occasional residual weakness in his back but with the help of both he soon gets back on track.

Forty years ago I consulted an acupuncturist. That was pooh poohed by friends at the time. It's amusing that it's now available on the National Health :grin:

If by 'ad', you mean that I intend to profit in some way financially from my writings on here, then...as a businessman... I'd be grateful for an explanation of how?
If by 'ad' you mean ''the action of making generally known; a calling to the attention of the public'',.....then you are absolutely correct.
If by 'stroppy' you mean mildly irritated at being swamped by wilful negativity when you are attempting to pass on genuine, relevant and useful experience and advice,....to a group of people who really ought to be interested in what you have to say.....then again, you would be absolutely correct.

Thanks Cherry, Acupuncture, Osteopathy and Chiropractic are all available to some extent on a sort of 'post code' lottery format through the NHS,....because the evidence shows them to be 'more effective than normal NHS outpatient care'. For the same reasons the newly formed national 'Care Quality Commission', no longer lists Osteopathy and Chiropractic as either 'alternative' or 'complimentary'. The big wheel is finally catching up! Today they are fully regulated and accepted 'primary healthcare providers', and as such will almost certainly play a much bigger part in the newly structured NHS.

It is my belief that most, if not all reputable chiropractic clinics offer a free initial consultation. I do not question some of the articulate arguments you put forward on your earlier thread and with your Masters Degree in English I would expect nothing less!!.

As I stated on your earlier thread, I would be more than happy for those people whom you say have sent in testimonials on behalf of your company or indeed anyone using this forum who wished to do should personally post them here for us all to see. I am glad to see Cherry has had a good experience for her son who find it beneficial for a non arthritic condition.

However for someone to register in the name of the clinics he manages instead of as well intentioned individual, I personally find this to be somewhat of a selling exercise. For them to then post on behalf of the chiropractic profession as a whole I would like to think they were in fact medically qualified to do so? Perhaps you would care to give us your registered number so that we may verify this?

from a not so ignorant sceptic, best wishes
    Chris

    Thanks you 2,

Ok,...Chris, never struck me that an illicit approach where I pretend to just be an interested party might be more palatable. I am a straight forward person, and honesty and clarity just felt like a more appropriate way to go. As for the assertion that someone has to be medically qualified to comment upon a medical profession?.....well let’s all go home now then shall we?!

If something is out of my remit, I will say so, however, 'Chiropractic' and neuromusculoskeletal care has been my life and experience for about 10 years now, so forgive me,....I know a thing or two about it!

Delboy.....I didn't 'offer a free consultation' I was asked for one by a poster, and I accepted. The poster in question did not go ahead with the consultation. If I ever take a single penny from anyone from this site, then hang me. Till then, lay off n give me the benefit of the doubt.....and with respect,....you might learn something!!

In an earlier,...and now removed post....I illustrated the difference between good and bad clinicians. Suffice to say that not all professionals were created equal. I am sorry that your wife had a bad experience with a clinician, it doesn't surprise me in the least. The ability to distinguish between appropriate practitioners and the not so 'appropriate' ones is vital, and something with which I have tried to,...and can help with. Given the opportunity!

If you like, I will change my username, to try and help you all with this 'advertising' hurdle.

    Hi Simon.

Just a thought but if you were to actually join in on other posts and not mention chiro them maybe we could take you at face value?

It might be something you could find wins you more favour...... and besides it would be better than this...

The original post broke forum rules its that simple. Cris
