Hi Folks
Its been a while since being on the forum, at least 41/2 months. I have been through some torture with the Arthritis in spine, well actually it has been Physio, with Acupuncture, Hands on and Traction (which I personaly thought was a bit funny having Arthritis) the Physio has given up on me now as everything she has done didnt seem to make any difference and she said that herself, so my next Port of call is Injections into the spine at the Pain Clinic.

Has anybody been through this, and if so has it helped their symptoms anyway at all.

I know it is a good bit late, but I would like to wish everybody in the Forum A Very Happy and Hopefuly Painfree 2011
Regards
Mags

    Hi Toni
Got in no probs, admittingly tried last week, but no joy

I just want hopefully to continue my business idea, but with the aches and pains I cant sit in a car for more than an hr at most.

Then there was talk if the injections didnt work an operation would be tried next.

So hope to catch up on everybody next few days

    Regards
    Magsx

    Hi Mags

Lovely to see you back again. I am sorry to hear about your awful aches and pains.

Injections in my lower back via xray direction got rid of the sciatica I had had for a year. I have been painfree now 14 months. The pain clinic and wonderful Dr Evans performed miracles for my aches and pains.

    Luv
    Elna x

Hi Mags, don't think we have spoken before.. Hope that you are ok tonight?
I had fact joint injections in my lower spine and both knees three weeks ago today, he used a slow release steroid and said it mey take a few weeks to work if they are going to.. So far, sadly nothing for my knees or back. I am really hoping that it is just me being impatient though..

I have learned not to pin my hopes on things...
Had the knees both done in november, took about 3 or 4 days before my knees felt like bliss, better than they have in over 20 yrs... Only lasted till Christmas, but I cared not a jot... Any relief when they hurt like that is welcome..

Best wishes with yours. Mine were done at the pain clinic here in Leeds.

    Hi mags,

    Nice to see you again.

Over the years I have had loads both in the lumber, the thoracic and the neck. Recently they have only done the lumber and the neck. For me the plan was to calm them both down a bit and take the pain back down to an acceptable level.

They were quite effective for a while but even now can help a bit but the pain clinic have moved on to medrone and botox and that's so far working reasonably well.

I really hope you get a good result and we will do the pocket thing if needed cus they are a bit painful. The last neck ones I had went in through the side and were much easier... not least cus she gave me a bit of sedative.... ended up burbling about Shaun the sheep,.... I got no pride

Good luck and let us know when they are going to do them. Cris x

    Hi Mags,

i was just lucky I had Shaun on my mind... cus it could have been far worse.... they did all laugh at me though and the pain doc kept having to tell me to shut up :lol:

She is good and quite long suffering I think

The first ones I had with no sedative.... really don;t recommend that cus they do hurt that way for sure...

    Mind....

Your too busy crying to burble :lol:

let us know when your appointment comes through? Cris xx
