    Something is not quite right. If you are eating less than you usually do then I find it odd that you are putting weight on.

    Hi - Frustrating this one!
    How serious is the diet? Rules are that you have to eat less, and the calories you burn off each day have to be more than the ones you take in!
    Also make sure that you eat well - dont skip meals - if you do your metabolism wont be right and you wont lose any weight.

    Obviously excercise helps to burn off calories but that depends on how mobile you are.
