In with the old...
After 3 years of frustration with various digital scales, today we made a decision to go back to the classics... got us a lovely set of mechanical scales!
When we got it out the box it didn't work, but the OH figured it was just the spring come undone and he checked inside and fixed it... now we don't have to worry about bloody batteries!! (and it'll come in handy for the dieting!)

Sometimes you can't beat the old fashioned things. My best purchase was a Teasmade which cost me £8 many years ago. It has never let me down, and wakes me up to a cup of freshly made tea every morning.0

delboy, ur spider looks so real I really thought something was on my monitor! LOL Weird effect on my eyes
I think our battery problem is due to having a very cold, dam kitchen.. it just saps away all the juice. Ur right that digital scales take less room and are easier with conversions etc and I liked mine, but atm its not worth the bother!0 -
Thats what I really need --- A teasmaid----Or someone to bring me a cuppa in the morning! Mm now let me think which will be the easier to get?

You are a little tinker(bell) aren't you yes Arthur is here too but even though he gets all over the place - he can't make me a cuppa!! It would be nice when on the mornings I am so stiff I could have a cuppa in bed.... Think it will have to be a teasmaid.
