Good Morning Val, I am pleased that you enjoyed your walk this morning, It might have been even nicer if the sun was out!
I used to work in worksop - spent 10 very happy years there - I trust that your local pond is not the lake at Clumber Park!!

Good for you, Valval! A bit of fresh air always lifts my spirits. I try not to get carried away and do too much but I love getting out to a bit of greenery whatever the weather.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Have to agree with you , Val , I love to get a bit of fresh air too ; sea air in my case . We live at the top of a hill so into car , drive down to Brighton sea front and a quick push along the prom ( wheelchair for me ) . Just looking at the waves always seems to blow away all the days little stresses and strains ! Jillyb

    Hi Val
There is nothing better then a good walk, I have always loved to walk, I think this is one of the things making up my mind to have my hips done, we live on a road that leads to some country side....and I can see people going past on there walks.
I cant wait to join them.

Going for a walk can be lovely. Roll on the Spring weather! It's so good for you and releases endorphins. It's good for the mind as well as the body. :) Keep it gentle and short, don't overdo it but enjoy. x

    Hi Val
good for you getting out there, I am so glad you enjoyed yourself.
OH and I go most sundays as the weather gets better, walking through woods (well scooter for me) and round reservoirs and small lakes. It does do you the world of good, all the fresh air and scenery seems to take away all daily strains. (sleep like a baby when we get back)
    Hope you keep it up.

Good for you Val. You are right it is good to make the effort. Not nearly as cold once you get warmed up walking. Just need to get the fine balance right between walking far enough but not over doing it. Walking somewhere scenic/around wildlife an added bonus.

Hello Valval, glad you enjoyed your walk!

I was very down over the past couple of weeks and decided to make a determined effort to go out for a walk and some fresh air every day, whether I felt like it or not. I have done so most days and it really does make me feel better mentally, particularly if the sun is shining as it is here today. Glad you enjoyed it so much!

    Hi valval
going out for a walk is something i miss, but reading your post has inspired me to give it a go now that things have eased off a bit for me. It pouring down here and ive got 6 kids home so not today i think. I will aim for a gentle walk along the top of a lovely beach at the weekend with my 4 and partner. That way should be plenty on hand to drag me to car if necessary! Brightened up today just thinking about it. Look forward to a dry, non windy bright day at the weekend,
    All the best

It's not so nice here either today, although not raining (yet). But I shall still try to get out for my walk later. Would be easier if there was a cuppa and a piece of choccy cake at the end of it though! Enjoy your coffee out today Val - and your planned weekend walk by the sea sounds wonderful seamonkey  .

That must be what I miss most, I love going for walks with my 2 dogs (A german pointer who is 13 and going senile and a Jack Russell cross who thinks he's a rottweiler).
Still manage to get out with them twice a day albeit 10 minutes round the block in the morning and again in the evening.
Can't wait to fully recover from my op and get out on nice long walks with them again.

    Take care all

    Rob
