Just seen a story on t.v.look North West.
Wilmslow Library, Cheshire, has the usual internet facilities, about 10 computers for the public to use etc.
Anyway, one of the librarian's just happend to look behind one computer, and where the keyboard U.S.B, port is, found a device that should not have been there.
This devices ( I won't name it for security reasons, but can be bought off the internet, because I looked it up last night), can record every single time a key is pressed on a keyboard.
So in other words, if it had been there for months, it could have recorded thousands of passwords, banking details, pin numbers, you name it. These key......s, are used by spy's, and crooks, and parents who want to know what there kids are up to. My advice, is never go to your local Library to do anything private on the internet. Security for any public computer should monitor what is attached to it and if the keyboard is disconnected to install one of these, immediately sound an alarm. Also the computers should be overlooked by CCTV. The one that is described, keeps all the details on an internal memory and has to be collected to check the contents but it will save quite a lot of info.

Alan is right though, you should never use public computers, e.g. library, computer café, etc. for anything that you don't want anyone else to know about. Banking details especially should never be used. Thank you Alan for the reminder for us all.
