I have now been back to work for the last 3 weeks, only doing 6 hrs a day,it is tiring and painfull.I am only doing domestic stuff not my real job as I feel I could not cope with it.I also now get a full pension :!: Hate to admit that, but it is nice to get something from all the years of working. Now everyone is saying I will get taxed to the hilt and its not worth working.I will go mad if I can't work :!: So whats the score here :?: Mirabella

Tax allowance goes up in april to £7000 odd a year before tax. Anything after that is taxable unless it is a disability pension which they cannot tax. My hubby has disability pensions so pays no tax . I am not sure if that was because he was in the army but i am sure the police do they same. Could be worth looking into what kind of pension you actually have. To start hubby paid tax on his pension until someone said that was wrong...got a nice rebate as well. I am sure one of the other people will be able to give you more advice about this.0
