Hello all,
hope you're all as good as can be. Had my latest appt: yestrerday, good and bad. I don't have sjorgrens syndrome although I do have problems with a dry mouth, so that's the good news, the bad is, I have another chest infection, so on anti-biotics, feel slightly sick and have dodgy tummy. The other news is, they are thinking of putting me on anti-TNF, Enbrel, don't know if this is good or bad, would appreciate anyone's views, good or bad about enbrel. By the way, I forgot, am having a flare which I got a steroid injection for, it seems to have helped a bit. I know you're thinking "How could she forget she's having a flare", but with the chest infection (and cold) and all the info bombarded at me yesterday as well as having a chest x-ray and being at the hospital for 3 hours when I was really tired (and still am, that's why I didn't post yesterday, I couldn't type straight or think straight, still having problems now!!! ) believe it or not it wasn't the main thing on my mind, even though I was in pain. I think I'll fifnish now because I'm loosing the plot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Sue,

So, no syndrome, good, cold/tummy problems bad (join the club, me too). Unlike your doc mine refused to give me anything, so I am snuffling/squitting my way thro it. Wot larks, Pip, wot larks.
I had Enbrel in 2006. It tried to explode my liver (I didn't feel a thing and that is why you do the blood tests) so I wasn't that impressed. Needless to say it didn't touch the arthritis. delboy is on Enbrel and doing v well on it (for the most part). You won't know until you try. I really hope you find yourself in del's camp and not mine. I am slowly coming to the conclusion that most people are in better camps than me, so you stand a fighting chance!Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -

Hi Sue
sorry I missed thsi yesterday
I do hope you are feeling a wee bit better today? Colds and bad chests are no joke.
I have no personal experience of enbrel yet, but tend to think read up on it ask this lot (the experts) and my family then if you are ready give it a go.
Lets hope it is a good one for you.
Love

Thanks everyone for your messages, I am feeling slightly better today. Chest is feeling a bit better and flare has eased thanks to steroid jab. I went to bed at 9.30 last night and got up at 9.30 this morning so I reckon I probably got 9 - 10 hours sleep, how good is that, I definitely needed it, had 3 early mornings at my daughters last weekend (where I stayed) 'cos the 3 kids all get up by 7am. Having a nice easy day and a long soak in the bath, I can still just about get in and out. Got a friend coming round for tea and cake and Mr Nanasue bought me a new coat/jacket and cardigan, what a love, I think that deserves some pampering, he's easily pleased I'll just make him a cake.

Wash your mouth out. NOW. 9-10 hours of whaaaaaaaaat? I can feel a tantrum coming on, I really can. She's got meds for what we both have and she's SLEEPING? The rank unfairness of life gets my goat sometimes (and also my gerbil, goldfish and gnu).
Seriously, I am glad you are feeling brighter. That is definitely a good thing, nanasue. I have just sneezed a gloriously, wet sneeze and my keyboard is glinting. Oooooops. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
Nana sue
I have just been reading back and oh my I called you barbara
Don't know what happened there. I am sorry. Must be the meds.
Any way hope you are ok today.
Juliepf x I have answered your other post about starting a new med. (it was you wasn't it )
I think I will have to go and rest0 -
Hi Sue,
I do hope the steroid injection is continuing to help with the flare. The AB’s can give you stomach upsets but the hanging about for three hours will not have helped.
Sorry I cannot help you with the TNF’s but it is good news that Sjorgrens has been eliminated.
I hope you had a lovely tea with your friend and got to parade your new clothes. Now if there is any cake going???
Glad you are feeling so much better in yourself.
