hi everyone,

its been a few weeks since i have posted so just trying to catch up on how everyone is doing. I hope i find you all well on this cloudy saturday afternoon.
ticking away nicely at the moment, the clinical trial drug seems to be making a huge difference, no longer taking cocodamol and to be honest, not needed any anti-inflammatories for a week or so. Still getting some stiffness but overall seems to be (touch wood) improving! i just hope other people receiving the drug report the same, i'll be devastated if they dont roll this out as a new drug for all of us :-( not having another treatment until april (still taking the meth) so its possible my stiffness will come back full force but fingers crossed!
Oh! and i got my exam results back yesterday and passed my 1st semester (even managed 84% on one of my exams!!). only 12 months to go and i'll be a qualified dental therapist :-)

Anyway i wont bore you all anymore! i wanted to share this because i feel really strongly that this drug is making a huge difference and my intention is to offer maybe a bit of hope that we PA sufferers might just get some relief. I hope it doesnt feel like i'm bragging that i'm feeling well at the moment, i'll apologise if it does. I know i am lucky to be doing this trial, and i've agreed for the rheumatologist running the trial to sample my DNA in order to try and establish a genetic link to PA.

Thinking of everyone and hoping that old arthur is behaving at the moment.

It's good to hear that it seems to be working for you - let's hope that lasts, and lasts for a good long while. Good luck with the rest of your studies. DD
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben
