query about hot sensation and plaster casts

Hi all,
This is the first time I've had a cast on. I have been elevating my leg since the operation, varying heights from propped up on 2 to 3 pillows when lying on the sofa.
The thing is, I am experiencing a hot tingling feeeling on my heel, it is around the back/bottom of my heel on the RH side. It is not painful as such, just annoying. Has anyone else experienced this and is it normal, I am worried it could be the beginning of a pressure sore.
Cheers
Rob

Sorry I cant help, did the hospital give you a number you could ring, suppose it would have to be Monday now.
Let us know how you get on.

hi rob, call nhs direct and see what they advice. if it get painfull or you realy think something is wrong then contact the hospital.
ive broken many bones and itching has always been the main problem ive had with casts in the past, occasional hot spots but its always best to seek medical advice
hope you get sorted soon0 -
If you call Nhs direct it is likely to cost you a fortune and they will probably tell you to ring/visit A&E or your local walk in centre.0

Delboy,
the cast has been on since wednesday. I have no pins and needles, can wiggle my toes okay and they are a normal colour and no numbness. It is only a small area around the back of the heel which feels hot.0 -
Rob
I have no advice - never had a cast, but i do hope you are ok today? can you telephone the doc tomorrow?
