    Hi Janey

if you are in constant pain then the patches may be teh best thing for you.

I am on bu-trans patches which i LOVE!!! It has given me my life baxck to a large extent - I do not have to take pills ALL the time and none of the wooziness from just having atken a tablet nor the agony when you are due another.

Suggest if you get the patches you start on the lowest dose possible and put pacth on befoer bed....this means it will bein your system for teh morning. I felt a bit queasy on day one like morning sickness, but it went off by the next day or the day after.

You can still take a painkiller for any breakthrough pain too - your GP will tell you.

    Love

    Toni xx

Hi janeys, you have been having a tougher time than you need, yes? It can take a while to find the right pain duller - none of them take the pain away as such, but some are better dullers than others. I hope you find something to suit you, and soon. It could well be that the pain patches will be the thing. Let us know how you get on. DD

I am very fortunate in that I do not get any side effects from the cocos or the trammies, but I will cheerfully admit that they don't deal with the pain any where near the level I expected, which is why I call them 'dullers' rather than 'killers'. I think you are in the fairly early days of all this, janeys, and it does take time to find out what suits and what doesn't. Be patient, hang on in there and you will find what works the best for you, I am sure. Keep in touch with us, we will do our best to help: you are not on your own with this business. DD
