A shower is a light sprinkle of rain. Rain is an all out downpour.....

There isn't a set time; the changeover comes when you discover that you need your umbrella, but it didn't look like rain when you left the house so you didn't bring it with you.
Anyway, the rain in Spain stays mainly on the plain, doesn't it :?:0 -
Hi Tone,
Nowadays i have to ask what is a shower... we have done months and months of rain and really heavy rain and well a shower might be welcome just now
Mind..... we have green fields Will trade you a bit of decent grass for some sun....
Hope your doing ok? Cris x0 -

A shower is brief. Rain is continuous. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

We rally do love rain here It only rains about 10 days a year so when it does it saves us a fortune in irrigation.0

Whereas for us ten days without rain is considered a result! I do miss the green-ness of the UK tho, when we do go somewhere hot. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

I used to work the dogs, on a shoot run by one of the top London Gunmakers........Just north of Stranraer....
To the north you could see Alisa Graig........Thats a rock sticking out of the sea......
We used to tell the American visitors, you could tell the weather by it.....
If you could see it, it was going to rain......
If you couldn't see it...................It was already raining......
Usually took several minutes for it to sink in.........sometimes even days........
I used to clamber up those rock faces with Dill and enjoy every minute......Rob0
