Does anyone have experiences of notifying DLA about improvements in your condition? It's very difficult due to good/bad days to predict overall stability, however medication has brought some ease to condition. When/how do you decide what to inform DLA?

    Hi,
I notified the DLA when I thought I no longer met the requirements for the mobility. I asked them to cancel my payments immediately.

    Their answer?
They phoned me up and said they thought I should re-apply.
I filled in the forms they sent, stressing the improvement with the help of the pain clinic.
That was in October last year- I've heard nothing since.
I presume after reading my latest application they agreed that I do not qualify as there have been no further payments.

Have no idea why they asked me to re-apply

Sadly no, it always seems to be the opposite  , but I am sure you can phone them or write to them, if you are sure that the medication has had a beneficial effect, for a reasonable length of time and is likely to continue. XX Bubbles

I have to totally agree with bubbles here...make 100% certain that the condition IS under control before you do too much. Have you a specialist who can advise you as to prognosis?

If you are confidant that the improvement is stable then l would do as Dalily has done and contact them by telephone.
