Our lovely pink flamingo is off to see the vascular peeps tomorrow, bright and early, about her stump. She is hoping that they will discharge her - which would be good - but I think she is still having to be very, very careful with it.

julie47, good luck: I will be thinking of you very much and I hope you get some good news in the morning, inasmuch as they wave 'Bye-bye' to you! I think you are remarkable with how you cope, manage and get on with things, despite a large amount of difficulty. I have learned a great deal from you about strength and fortitude. Thank you. DD

I am Discharged from this one yeeeeeeey

Thankyou DD for this thread, you are so thoughtful, .....a lovely person.
Thankyou NB,poppy,speedy,cris,tony.marion,cath,chris7,bobbyger,wonky,elna and sticky. For your support and good wishes.

I was early to my appointment and early in. (wow) I was coming out as I was supposed to be going in. (doesn't happen often eh?)
The vascular nurse looked at my stump and said "well I think that is fab and I don't think I need see you again"
I am still cautious of the end of the stump as it is very boney and a prominent point. As long as I look after it there should be no problem. As most of you know I don't walk much anyway.
If I do have problems again, she did say I could ring her and she would either advise or give me an appointment.

So all in all I am a happy Pink Flamingo.....feathers all shiney

tony..... I was at pinderfields today in Wakefield...
I do get around don't I. Next appointment will be LGI cause that will be with the neurosurgeon in about may, to discuss neck op.
(unless rheeumatology give me an app first and thats dewsbury.  )

well you lovely people thanks again and I hope you are all not feeling too bad.
    Take care

Julie it's great when good things happen to nice people. I'm not very good at ornithology so don't know whether or not pink flamingos can fly but I guess you'll be giving it your best shot.
