Comedian and former Bullseye host Jim Bowen suffered from 2 mild strokes today.

He had his first stroke at home, and his second was whilst he was at the Royal Lancaster Hospital.

Bowen, 73, is now working with physiotherapists and the rest of the hospital team.

His wife has stated that he is doing well and it will only take a matter of time.

I hope he manages to make a full recovery.

I remember him on Bullseye very well as used to watch the show with my mum.

    Hope he does well too..
A friend of ours also had a stroke yesterday, he's in hospital, think he could be ok, will take time though...
Strokes are very strange things, and for some reason they seem to be more commonplace these days.....

And people are getting younger too...

Some of you might remember that my Daughter's chap's niece had a stroke about a month before her second birthday...
She is still doing very well and using her arm again... Kids are indeed resiliant..

Wonder why they are more common now, my pal Tom had one aged 35, my tattooist Chris had one when he was about 39....

Suppose for them it could just be a case of lifestyle, drinking, smoking etc, but not for the little un.

I have recently made contact with a friend via facebook and she has had a stroke too. She was never a party animal but lost her daughter at 2 years and her marriage broke up as a consequence so is stress a factor? She was in her 30's when she had the stroke.
