Hi Everyone
I went to see a dietitan yesterday and my GP had been quite negtive about them saying "oh sometimes these people dont tell you what you want to hear or can be dismissive"...
So off I went yesterday and was pleasantly suprised....She was quite young but very nice, told me I was eating really well and she couldnt really fault my intake as I was eating stuff like soya yogurt with blueberries and having Go Ahead bars at lunchtime......She then weighed me and told me since my GP had written and referred me I had lost 6pounds...Now that's since December and it may not be a lot but she said its good steady loss considering I cant walk a lot and do lots of other exercises others can do due to knee arthritis pain.....She told me if I can do two lots of 7 mins exertion daily where i get sweaty and hot that will burn off calories so i can do stuff like holds cans of beans in my hand and use them as temporary weights.....
She was nice and im going back to see her in 3 months where she expects me to lose the same...I was also good as I walked down the big hill from the hospital and got a lift from Asda...Its about 3/4 of a mile but it was a hill which was quite level so I did it....
A bit of good news for me then......And sorry if this needs to be on another forum (ie chitchat) mods....

Good news , Elaine , and well done for what you've achieved so far . It is really difficult to lose weight when you can't exercise like other folk . Stay positive and keep it going . Jillyb0
