Hi there, I've posted on the technical thread that I am finding this forum impossible to use - which is why I haven't posted much lately. I just find it very user unfriendly. So I wanted to say goodbye to some of the very nice people I've met on here, Cris, Chris, Toni, DD, Iris et al. Sorry I haven't been very supportive of late but this is why.
xx

    Hi Sal,
Could you give the helplines a ring to help with the techy issues? You've always been so supportive and you would be greatly missed.

    HI Salamander

I am sorry that you feel that the forum is still difficult to use. Sometimes it takes time for us to get used to changes, and sometimes it is difficult for new systems to please everyone.

I know that the webmanager has tried to do what he can to assist those of us who find some of the newer forum foibles difficult.

Please don't let technology defeat you - you are a valuable member of the forum and it would be a shame if you were not to be on here where you can receive the support you have also given to others.

I find that I don't keep track of threads as easily, but I do have a pen and paper next to my keyboard and I write thread titles down that I know I want to return to. Not sure if that is to help my memory or my eyes the most :lol::lol:

I do hope you don't leave and that we'll see you posting again

    best wishes
    WOnky

Thank you everyone, sorry I forgot to name a few of you, Wonky, Elizabeth, Poppy etc. You are a great crowd.

I'm not a technophobe by any means. It is just very difficult to distinguish the different posts and I can rarely get back one I have posted on, you lose interest in the end if you can't follow things. I don't think I am the only one as Elizabeth says.

I've made my feelings known a few times on the technical threads but the issue isn't resolved. Why have posts you have read and those you haven't in the same colour but only a bit darker? It's mad. It doesn't make any visual sense. I am an artist and spend a lot of my time looking at colour and making sure things are visually easy to read. This forum is purely and simply not accessible for that reason. Sorry to rant but it makes me angry to think people - and me - are being excluded because of a technicality.
love you all, well, most of you :)

    Morning salamander
I am sorry that you are finding this new programme hard.
Yes it does take some getting used to and I sometimes get annoyed when my posts disappear cause i have clashed with another reply.

I too hope that you drop in from time to time, your support has always been appreciated

sal im sorry you feel this way, i totally get where your having problems, i struggle to, why cant they put new posts in red and others left in blue, the system obviously works as it does two slightly different blues which can be hard to make out. i do wish the tecs could sort this out for you so you dont feel you have to leave. its sad as we need you as much as you need us . please take care and hope we hear from you in the future

If youre not getting out of the forum what you wanted then of course if you feel you want to leave then thats your decision. Only you can know your own feelings and expectations etc...If its not right dont try to make it so...

There has to be a solution, salamander. I am not technical enough to come up with one - I have no idea what all the little symbols mean about the threads, to me they just look like little birthday cakes. Like wonky I keep a notebook handy and I shall try del's suggestion too. There are times when it is difficult to see clearly, I think we all find that from time to time. I often click on summat I have just read but it's easy to go back and start again. I really hope you don't go: it's been good chatting to you here and there, even if we haven't always seen completely eye-to-eye: the support that one can give and receive here is the important thing, yes? I know you are not the only one who struggles to see the forum - it must be so very frustrating. DD

Thanks everyone. I think the solution is easy but I've mentioned it several times and nothing has been done. Obviously, if others don't have a problem that's fine for them.

Del, I've used 'view your posts' but when scrolling down through other posts it's impossible to read them. I haven't come across any other forum that is so difficult to read as this one. It was fine before. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Yes Salamader it was fine before. And we have been plagued with spam ever since this one was set up.
If you want to go on facebook PM me(if you can)!!!!I know its not for everyone but better than nothing.
