Nessun Dorma as my dad used to sing it all the time. He once sung O Sole Mio on a gondola in Venice and got a rousing reception.
Lots of other songs make me sad and remind me of break ups as I used to listen to music if heartbroken. Don't we all?

Someone to Watch Over Me (Ella Fitzgerald) ' I am a little lamb who's lost in the snow . . . ' and Bridge over Troubled Water. I used to be able to play the piano part, it's a gorgeous bit of music. Oh, and Jumanji's Theme (I think that's how it's spelled), the theme to 'A Time for Love'. DD

Tears in Heaven DD Clapton's son Connor was 4 at the time of his death... 20th March 1991 fell out of 53rd floor window of mothers friends apartment.

Linkin Park - In the End always brings me to tears,
Micheal Jackson - Smile this was played at a close friends funeral
Bon Jovi - Blaze of Glory same friends funeral...

Music is very emotive whether good or bad, just hearing an intro can make me smile i love it!!

the Labour Party tune was indeed Things can only get better by D:ream (1994) and little known fact - Prof Brain Cox (yes the good looking one off the telly Wonders of the Universe *drools* ) was their keyboard player... i dunno where my brain digs this stuff up from!!

Love The Pearlfishers heard it first time as a kid and it still makes me go all goosebumpy!

Having Who Wants to Live Forever by Queen at my funeral. Love -O Mio Babio Caro - had that played at our wedding (also on the funeral list). The final song sung by the character Jean ValJean in Les Miserables. Time to Say Goodbye - Sarah Brightman and Andrea Botcelli. Hymns particularly - one called The Servant King - the words have me sobbing everytime its played in Church and also In Christ Alone. Against All Odds - Phil Collins - it was playing on the last journey to the hospital to see my Dad before he passed away. So many songs so little time!

I heard Phil Collins has had to give up drumming due to arthritis but haven't yet seen it in print otherwise could post a link.
Wonder if he will come on AC Forum for support. He will be welcome.

    Minnie Riperton - Loving You

This was always on the radio when my OH and I got married in 1975.

Still together after nearly 36 years
When ever I hear it still makes me sentimental and brings a tear to the
